Catrice- Godfather Of Pearls

Why it took me so long to wear this gem?!! 2 thin coats over black, sparkles mostly teal, silver and pink, and at acute angles, if you're into looking for it, you'll se gold, copper, green and blue. A true rainbow of colors always visible. Now i regret not taking more top coats from that LE (Millions of styles).

¿Porqué tardé tanto en usar esta joya? Me fascina el espectro de colores que tiene: mayormente se nota turquesa, plateado y rosado. Con suerte veras dorado, azul, verde y cobre. Un arcoiris.

Mamma mia...ci ho impiegato troppo nel usare questo meraviglioso smalto in edizione limitata, e non sapro' che altre gemme aveva questa collezione di Catrice...si vedono un sacco di riflessi colorati sull'unghia: turchese, argento e rosa in predominanza; rame, oro, verde e blu con fortuna. 

Opi-Golden Eye And Oxblood Lips

 

A total mistake buying this polish, is too warm for me and so, don't like how it looks on me. I didn't even put effort in photographing it, sorry. I will try it over black, as a last resort, to see if it becomes wearable.

In other hands, i read about the Oxblood trend on Zoya's blog; is cool to see as one of this season's trends, something i usually pull of during this period.

On lips is Fyrinnae's "Dragon's Blood" Lip Lustre.

Today's very cloudy, did my best for nice pictures...This beauty is very sparkly but sheer. I applied 2 generous coats over one coat China Glaze  "Midnight Mission" (i forgot how cool this blue polish is!)
I dislike that the pink glow is only visible at acute angles.

Orly "Royal Navy"

I found my favorite blue: Tadaa! How can this be possible?? so saturated, bright, sooo blue.

Mi esmalte azul preferido! saturacion del color optima, intensa. Lo recomiendo a todo aquel que ame el azul.

Il mio blue numero uno! Proprio degno di essere chiamato blue regale. Stupendo!!

Mon bleu préféré. Très lumineux et pigmentée. Je l'aime beaucoup.  

 Meine Lieblings-blau. Sehr pigmentiert. Ich mag es so sehr.

How to: Smooth Glitter Manicure (finally...)

Good afternoon. I want to share with you how to obtain a glass like finish on your glitter manicures.
Once i was visiting Essence.com and out of curiosity i read the "better than gel nails" section and thought to myself that if these sealers are meant to smooth a fake nail tip, they could be good to smooth glitters too.
I got the sealers and put them as indicated by the brand: after my manicure was done, i applied the base sealer and then the top sealer.
OMG! it works, and with a very, very good result. Those top coat- sucker polishes have to surrender against this combo.
For the purpose of this post, pictures were taken about 15 hours after application, and as you can see the surface of the nail is smooth and shiny, just be carefull to spread each sealer evenly to avoid little rough spots. I've worn this combo for four days on top of very thirsty glitter polishes (Wet 'n Wild coloricon polishes) and the surface is still smooth, you can just refresh the glossy finish with your regular top coat.
You can apply Seche Vite right after the top sealer to speed up the drying process or you can leave it as is, either way you'll obtain a smooth, glass like glitter manicure. (These pictures are without any fast drying top coat on top of the sealers).

Zoya Revisited.

 

 

Crystal and Valerie: two of my favorites from Zoya. Crystal has more foil finish than Valerie. Now i would like to have an icy blue like Crystal but with silver sparkles.

Dos de mis favoritos de Zoya. Crystal tiene un aspecto mas metalico respecto a Valerie, pero es un morado con una bellisima pigmentacion.

Crystal e Valerie sono fra i miei preferiti di Zoya. Crystal é piu' metallico rispetto a Valerie, ma quest'ultimo ha una ricchezza del colore fenomenale.

Deborah #60

Italian Brand "Deborah", has this super pretty lilac polish full of gold glass flecks. Is very reflective as you can see. I layered it over one coat of a lavender Kiko. OMG! Kiko has a nice formula, the problem is the brush, which is a mop, a real mop...even more is Thumbelina's mop.

Aqui les presento el numero 60 de "Deborah", una marca italiana. Esta repleto de brillantina dorada y para darle mas impacto, lo superpuse a un Kiko moradito. Aunque Kiko tiene una buena formula, la brocha es un desastre, porque es un autentico suape, es mas, es el suape de Pulgarcita.

これは  明るい  むらさき  マニキューア です。"Kiko" (キコ) の うえに  "Deborah" (デボラ) が あります。 "デボラ" は  黄色  グリッタが  あります。

Ecco qua il numero 60 della Deborah. Pieno zeppo di brillantini dorati. L'ho steso sopra un Kiko lavanda per darli piu' profondita'. Caspita pero' se é grosso il pennello della Kiko, un vero mocio, direi che é il mocio di Pollicina.

China Glaze- Dorothy Who?

"The Wizard of Oz" is nice theme for a polish collection, and China Glaze truly made my day, the moment i found out about "Ruby Pumps". In this particular moment i'm wearing "Dorothy Who?" from the  re-released of the before told collection. Is the blue version of my beloved "Ruby Pumps"! actually i added a bit of dark navy blue polish to deepen the jelly base: it was to sheer for what i expected.

But i have to say that the only polishes i save from this collection are Ruby and Dorothy, the others are meh and that strange frosty/lumpy/glittery finish is not pretty.
I would have made up this collection like this: Ruby pumps, Dorothy who?, China Glaze "Lighthouse", Emerald sparkle, a strong holographic silver, China Glaze "Ahoy" (pinkier and lighter)  and a purple glitter ala Nubar "Violet sparkle".

L.A Girl Glitter Addict Skittle Swatches.

Good morning. I bought these new L.A Girl polishes at Cherryculture.com.
They're a clear base packed with glitter of two sizes. The brand describes them as "jewelry for your nails", as you can see even though the glitter is very abundant, is sparse enough to let your base polish color to show through.
I got four out of  sixteen options: Euphoria: light purple with prismatic hex glitter. Eutopia: royal purple with purple hex glitter. Animate: red glitter with red hex glitter and Uninhibited: all black.
My finished manicure is one coat of Uninhibited over a ridge filler base coat. It looks like lace to me, will try this black over white, red and a neon.
Also with my order i bought some more Nyx and Jordana red lipsticks that i wanted: all amazing!
I'll post very soon swatches of all red lipsticks that i have, over 30, may be you're looking for a nice red and this could be helpful.

Lippmann-Ruby Red Slippers

I know is spring, but i'm just to fond of red and dark colors that i can't help it but wear them all year round.

And this one conjures up most of the things i like in polish term: jelly texture,RED,"vampyliciousness" and glittah !!! 2 coats of RRS on top of 1 coat CG "Lubu heels". I glued some Swarovsky on ring and middle fingers for extra bling.

Lo se que es Primavera y hay aire de colores pasteles y frescos, pero yo estoy tan afeccionada con el rojo y tonos obscuros que no puedo evitar de usarlos todo el año. Y este tiene casi todo lo que me gusta en un esmalte: textura gelatinosa, ROJO, obscuridad y brillantina. 2 capas de RRS encima de una de CG "Lubu heels".

La primavera é arrivata da un po' ma io amo troppo il rosso e i colori scuri che l'indosso tutto l'anno. E questo smalto riassume in sé la maggioranza delle cose che mi piacciono in uno smalto: consistenza gelatinosa, rosso, scuro e glitter.

C'est le printemps mais j'aime trop le rouge et les couleurs foncé, donc, je le porte environ toute l'année.

cet rouge avec glitter est fantastique, foncé et tres brillant.
